Hope Not Hate

A party political broadcast on behalf of not-the-BNP …

“In the upcoming elections in the UK, the far-right party the BNP are pushing for an unprecedented number of seats, and are possibly going to win some of them. They need 8% of the vote. This means that the more people that vote in the elections, the less chance the fascist BNP have of getting in.

Please make sure you are registered for the June 4th elections.
Please vote – for any party, except the BNP.
Please don’t let them get in because of apathy.

Here is some information about Nick Griffin, the leader of the party – http://www.hopenothate.org.uk/the-real-bnp/Profile-of-Nick-Griffin.php

Some of you have accounts at LiveJournal and Dreamwidth, on Blogger and WordPress, and other blogs that are read by a lot of people. Please – it takes a few minutes only to just copy and paste this post into your own blog and make sure the message gets out. It doesn’t take long to vote, and I’m not asking you to vote for any particular party that you might not have a high opinion of at the moment. Just vote for someone and stop the BNP.”

Please do remember to turn out to vote on Thursday the 4th of June. Your chosen candidate may or may not get in – but together, we can keep the hatemongering BNP out. Let us be people of peace, not harbingers of hate.

  1. The BNP’s support base is expanding an alarming amount recently.

  2. The problem with todays society is this ‘XFactor’ vote on/off attitude. I see it everyday – commuting and reading the Metro etc where they actually belive what they read. Lets vote them out etc with no appriciation of the real damage this attitude has to peoples lives. You may be able to vote a bad singer off – that doesn’t effect anyone. Do the same to ‘protest’ in politics and you play with peoples lives. Don’t be a sheep – be a wolf and vote for whats right and what is right is to never have a fascist representaion in any aspect of what makes Britain the great country it is.

David has been writing a book about Bitcoin and asked me to come up with something for cover art. The brief was "frightened businessman, 50s pulp style". It's not a style I've ever tried before, I must say. This is my first effort; it's not quite right, s
